Taylor Bennett was a companion of the Seventeenth Doctor, travelling along her best friend Luna Feng - but also for a while, with Sadie Caruso as well.
A significant portion of Taylor's time onboard the TARDIS was defined by the war between the Alae Republic's Temporal Intelligence Agency and two ex-members of the Tosan Red Cult; Revir Ctharcourt and Mera Rakhal - who were seeking dominance over all of time and space. This conflict ultimately culminated in a final showdown on the planet Axos, where Revir and Mera were killed in battle.
Later, after a visit home, Taylor decided to leave the TARDIS with Luna - who was choosing to remain behind, in order to stay with her aunt Suki and uncle Cory - following their traumatic experience with Bingato.

Taylor was pragmatic, assertive, premeditated and thus self assured. She was still relatively closed off compared to Luna which led to the development of a thick skin, being very uncaring about what others thought of her. And indeed, despite her introverted nature, she was extremely good friends with Luna - being the only person she was willing to truly open up - but over the course of her travels, the Doctor and Sadie soon became other people she was able to confide in.
Although she would never really admit it, she had a heavy reliance on dark humour, using it to break the ice or pass the time. However, all this meant that she could come off as cold and aloof to those who didn’t know any better, something she tried to overcome.
